Photo: Third Graders Create Puppets for Russian Orphans

Students in Elisabeth Anziano’s third grade class in Pines Elementary School created hand-made sock puppets, which will be sent to Russian orphans with two local doctors who are traveling to Russia to visit orphanages.

"The students will be there in spirit though the sock puppets created by the Pines’ third grade students,” said Janet Velasquez, Hauppauge’s director of Fine and Performing Arts.
“This project helped show the students that art has no borders.”
