Unhealthy Rooms at The Rodeway Inn....BEWARE!!

UNSAFE, UNHEALTHY HOTEL...BEWARE OF MOLD AND DAMAGES THAT OBVIOUSLY WAS THERE BEFORE HURRICANE SANDY

I stayed here and it was the worst thing I could have done. I called Choice Hotels and they had no idea that the General Manager, Dino Patel, was allowing this property to stay open in the conditions. They had no idea the property was unhealthy, unsafe and inhumane. They told me they were notified by Manager that Hurricane Sandy damaged the building. I'M SORRY BUT THE DAMAGE, MOLD AND SMELL WAS OBVIOUSLY BEFORE THE STORM. They apologized 10 times over and offered me free nights and extra points on my Choice Priviledge account. I just wanted them to know what type of property their name was on. I called the hotel to speak to the manager several times (days, night, weekends) and he for some reason was never available. I have been staying at the Holiday Inn in Plainview and decided to stop by the Rodeway Inn and it looks completely abandoned...The Rodeway Inn sign was even covered up. I guess the owners took the money after hammering the business into the ground and ran. Very sad and criminal. Hope this Dino Patel doesn't own any other hotels. I'm sure he left his employees high and dry too.
