The Huffington Post is reporting a 5.8 magnitude earthquake occured in Richmond, Va. at approximately 1:51 p.m., shaking the Washington D.C. area.

Residents as far away as New York City and Rhode Island are reporting having felt the aftershocks from the earthquake.
At Patch, we're asking: Did you feel tremors from the earthquake here on Long Island? If so, what did you feel or notice?
Here are some responses we've received:
A female staff member of BAB radiology in Hauppauge said, "I didn't feel it at first, I thought i was getting dizzy for a a moment, but then I realized the walls were definitely moving."
