Local Company Hosts STEM Panel

CA Technologies, headquartered in Islandia, recently hosted a Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) focused panel in Manhatten for young adults and veterans participating in NPower’s Technology Service Corps program. Executives from CA Technologies, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, TD Ameritrade and CSC shared their personal experiences, answered questions and advised students on pursuing careers in the STEM sector.

NPower drives social good by empowering the tech community to give back, helping nonprofits, schools and individuals reach their potential. CA Technologies has partnered with NPower since 2007 and supports the organization’s TSC program, which enlists and trains low-income young adults and veterans to become IT professionals.

Mike Gregoire, CEO, CA Technologies, is a member of NPower’s Board of Directors and Trevor Bunker, SVP, Global Presales, CA Technologies, serves on their TSC Advisory Council. NPower’s Board and Advisory Councils include tech leaders from companies including Accenture, Bank of America, Cisco, Citigroup, Cognizant, First Data, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, New York Life Insurance, UBS and Univision.
