Car Crashes Into Woods, Driver Escapes Unharmed Through Trunk

One-car crash occurred near the Dennison Building in Hauppauge Thursday morning.

A car crashed into the woods near the Dennison Building in Hauppauge Thursday morning.

The male driver was able to escape through the truck of the Toyota Camry following the crash shortly before 9 a.m. on County Access Road. 

The driver was not injured. He told Patch that he was headed north in the middle lane of the three-lane road just south of Vets Highway when another vehicle cut him off, forcing him to swerve off the roadway. The Camry first struck a street sign before coming to a stop several feet into the woods.
