A four-car crash forced the closure of the westbound side of the Long Island Expressway at Exit 57 Tuesday during the evening rush hour commute.
Police said the crash was reported at 5:34 p.m. at the Route 111 exit.
The crash forced the temporary closure of the westbound side of the Expressway and ramp east of Route 111.
The roadway was reopened at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Police said one driver sustained minor injuries.
