Credit Card Theft, Damaged Car Windows Reported in Hauppauge

Suffolk County police responded to the following incidents between Aug. 26 and Aug. 29.

• A shopper at ShopRite reported losing a credit/debit card in the parking lot at approximately 10 a.m. on Aug. 27. The card was found to have been used three times before it was discovered missing.

• The windows of a Ford F150 and a Toyota Celica parked on Adams Avenue in Hauppauge were damaged sometime on Aug. 26.

• A 36-year-old woman from Huntington was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, on Aug. 29 in Hauppauge. Police said she was found to have a controlled substance, the nature of which they did not disclose, during a traffic stop on the north Long Island Expressway service road at Washington Avenue.
