Crime Log: Burglary, Drug Sale

A look at recent criminal activity in Hauppauge.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

• A Coram woman was arrested in Hauppauge July 30 after police said she rear-ended another vehicle at Express Drive South and Ronkonkoma Avenue and fled. She was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving property damage, a misdeamonor.

• Lucas Strada, 34, of Middletown, was arrested in Hauppauge July 30 on a charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell it, in the fifth degree, a felony. Police arrested Strada on Route 347 in Hauppauge after discovering anabolic steroids on him. Police said the amount he had led them to believe he was looking to sell them.

• Michael Walls, 21, of Smithtown, was arrested in Hauppauge  July 28 on a charge of burglary, second degree, a felony. According to police, Walla entered a home on Croft Lane in Hauppauge at 1:10 p.m. He got in through an unlocked door and damaged property, police said.
