Crime Report: Driver Flees Accident, Illegal Drugs

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Thereported these arrests and incidents in Hauppauge during Dec. 21 to Dec. 26.

Edward Primavera III, 21, and Glen Fitzgerald, 23, both of Lake Grove, were arrested Dec. 24 in Nesconset and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. They are accused of possessing prescription pills and marijuana in the 2003 Mercedes-Benz they were in on Smithtown Boulevard. Primavera, the driver of the car, was also charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon for allegedly having a bat and metal knuckles in the car.

Farzan Qureshi, 20, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested Dec. 23 in Nesconset and charged with first offense DWI. Qureshi allegedly had an illegal blood alcohol content while driving a 2003 Dodge Caravan on Lake Ronkonkoma Boulevard.

Frank Rose, 20, of Nesconset, was arrested Dec. 23 in Smithtown and charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said Rose possessed an illegal substance while in the passenger seat of a 2009 Honda sedan.

Robert DeMaria, 40, of Baldwin, was arrested Dec. 22 in Hauppauge and charged with first offense DWI. Police said DeMaria was pulled over for speeding in a 2005 Chevrolet GMC on Brookside Drive.

Michael Sandella, 47, of Hauppauge, was arrested Dec. 22 in Hauppauge and charged with leaving the scene of property damage. Sandella is accused of hitting a parked 1998 Honda Accord in a 2010 Jetta and leaving without exchanging information.
