Crime Report: Christmas Grinch Ruins Holiday Decorations

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

The Suffolk County Police Department reported these arrests and incidents:

Luis Flores, 31, of Brentwood, was arrested Dec. 15 and charged with driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree. Flores was allegedly driving a 1999 Jeep along Holiday Park Drive in Hauppauge when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a tree, resulting in one of his passengers. Christian Balado, 22, an undomiciled man was arrested in Nesconset on Dec. 11 and faces seven felony charge of burglary in the second degree. Police said Balado broken into seven different homes in Selden, Farmingville and Centereach each time stealing jewelry, watches and other small valuable items. 

On Dec. 15, a Hauppauge homeowner on Dorchester Road called police at 10:10 p.m. to report that someone has intentionally damaged their Christmas lawn decorations. Three inflatable lawn ornaments and several sets of lights appeared to have been cut apart, according to the homeowner.
