Crime Report: Grand Larceny, Walmart Burglary
The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
The Suffolk County Police Department's reported these arrests and incidents in Hauppauge during Jan. 4 to Jan. 10.
Carl Bernstein, 43, of Plainview was arrested Jan. 10 in Hauppauge and charged with second-degree harrassment. He is accused of striking another person in the face at 220 Veterans Memorial Highway.
Lee Colfin, 30, of Nesconset, Christopher Loeb, 25, of Smithtown and Francis Loeb, 30, of Smithtown were arrested Jan. 7 in Nesconset and each charged with one count of third-degree grand larceny and five counts of criminal possession of stolen property.

Egbert Profitt, 42, of Huntington, John Chiarella, 33, and David Jacobs, 26, both of Nesconset, were arrested Jan. 7 in Nesconset and each charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. The incident occurred on Woodview Drive in Nesconset.
Alexa Avellino, 20, and Marisa Chayet, 21, both of Nesconset, were arrested Jan. 7 in Nesconset and charged with loitering, unlawful use of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. They were in a vehicle on Lake Drive in Nesconset at the time of the arrest according to police reports.

Raymond Broems, 47, of Huntington Station, was arrested Jan. 6 in Hauppauge and charged with first-offense DWI. He was allegedly driving under the influence in a 2008 Infiniti when he was stopped on Route 454 at 12:20 a.m, according to police reports.
John Bonghi, 23, of Centereach, was arrested Jan. 5 in Islandia and charged with third-degree burglary. He is accused of unlawfully entering Walmart and stealing a bucket containing wheel weights.
Dana Giannone, 54, of Brentwood was arrested Jan. 4 in Hauppauge and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said Giannone was in a vehicle parked at the North Country Complex in Hauppauge at the time of the arrest.
