Crime Report: DWIs over Labor Day Weekend

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Suffolk County Police Department reported the following arrests and incidents relating to Hauppauge: 

Alfred Morales, 46, of Hauppauge, was arrested Sept. 1 and charged with driving while intoxicated. Police said Morales was driving on Connetquot Avenue near Veterans Highway/Route 454 at approximately 6:10 p.m. when he was involved in an accident. Officers reporting to the scene said Morales had bloodshot eyes and his breath smelled of alcohol. Morales did not pass a field sobriety test, according to police reports.

Shannon Hickey, 22, of Hauppauge, was arrested Aug. 29 and charged with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. Hickey was driving a 2001 Chrysler when she went to make a turn at the intersection of Lowell Avenue and Suffolk Avenue at 4:21 p.m. in Central Islip, but was unconscious behind the wheel, according to police. Hickey was transported to Southside Hospital, where police report she was found to be under the influence of drugs. 

Suzette Parks, 36, from Woonsocket, R.I., was arrested in Islandia and charged with driving while intoxicated. Police said Parks was driving a 2012 Jeep Liberty eastbound along the South Service Road of the Long Island Expressway at approximately 5:55 p.m. Aug. 29 for allegedly speeding. When she was pulled over, officers said Parks had glassy eyes and smelled of alcohol.
