Crime Report: Man Gave Officer Someone Else's ID During Traffic Stop

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County Police Department Fourth Precinct reported these arrests and incidents in Smithtown and Hauppauge during March 17-23.

Police said a Brentwood man gave a police officer an ID not belonging to him during a traffic stop while driving a 1996 Saturn in Hauppauge on March 22 at 1:08 a.m. According to police, Jorge Palomino, 32, was arrested on a charge of second-degree possession of a forged instrument, a felony; false personation, a misdemeanor; and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle, a misdemeanor.

A Smithtown man was arrested March 20 in Smithtown after police said he was involved in an accident in a 2003 Jeep Wrangler and was deemed to be intoxicated by police when interviewed. According to police, Patrick Christman, 43, was arrested on an aggravated DWI with a prior DWI conviction, a misdemeanor.
