Crimes Nearby: Doctor Charged with Trading Money For Prescription Meds

Suffolk County police reported the following arrests:

Commack

Clyde Daniel, 33, of Bay Shore, was arrested Nov. 10 and change with one felony count of third-degree burglary: entry with illegal intent. Police said Daniel was arrested for entering the former Commack Multiplex Cinemas on the North Service Road in attempts to illegally remove the copper piping.

Miller Place-Rocky Point

A Sound Beach man was arrested Nov. 4 and charged with third degree burglary, a felony, and seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.

Timothy Petrulo, 28, of Sound Beach, was arrested Nov. 4 at 3:34 p.m. after allegedly breaking into Unlimited Auto Sales, Inc. at 390 Route 25A, Mt. Sinai. According to police, he entered the building by breaking a front glass door and then broke an interior glass door in order to enter the office and steal property.

Police said that after being arrested, he was found in possession of one glass and one plastic crack pipe and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Port Jefferson

Frank Telang, 56, a Port Jefferson Station neurologist who was arrested last December and charged with accepting cash in exchange for writing prescriptions for oxycodone and other controlled substances without an examination pleaded guilty in court on Tuesday, according to a statement released by U.S. Attorney’s Office.
