Crimes Nearby: Knife Threat on Main Street

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County police reported the following information:

Commack

Luis Chavez, 45, of Brentwood, was arrested Jan. 18 in Commack and charged with first offense DWI. Reports indicate Chavez was driving a Toyota Tundra east on Vanderbilt Motor Parkway when he was stopped for allegedly failing to maintain his lane.

Eric Gringhaus, 25, of Massapequa, was arrested Jan. 12 in Commack and charged with first offense DWI. He was allegedly driving eastbound on Route 454 at 11:45 p.m. when he struck another vehicle in a westbound lane. He was taken to Huntington Hospital.

Smithtown

Shandi Groom, 25, of Centereach, was arrested Jan. 17 in Smithtown and charged with petit larceny. Groom is accused of stealing clothing and sneakers from Macy's at the Smith Haven Mall.

Christopher Capolino, 22, of Smithtown, was arrested Jan. 14 in Smithtown and charged with seventh degree possession of a controlled substance. Capolino was in the parking lot of Avalon Gardens when he was approached by police and allegedly found to be in possession of an illegal substance.

Pat Toomey, 29, of St. James, was arrested Jan. 12 in St. James and charged with second degree menacing. Toomey is accused of holding a knife to another person on Main Street in Smithtown on Dec. 31 and making a demand.

Kings Park

Sabyasachi Bose, 53, of Kings Park, was arrested Jan. 14 in Smithtown and charged with first offense DWI. Bose was stopped for speeding while traveling eastbound on Route 25 near Caleb Smith State Park in a 2011 Jaguar at 12:15 a.m.

Adrianne Marinescu, 28, of Kings Park, was arrested on Jan. 11 in Commack and charged with petit larceny. According to police, Marinescu took jewelry and shoes from Sears in East Northport.

Three Village

Michael Cinarella, 43, of East Setauket, was arrested Jan. 15 at noon and charged with first-degree operation of a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. He was traveling on Lower Sheep Pasture Road in a 2009 GMC when he reportedly crashed into another car and fled the scene. Shortly thereafter, he crossed over a center line, nearly hitting a police car head-on and causing the officer to swerve off the road to avoid a collision, according to a report.

Port Jefferson

John Conlon, 50, of Port Jefferson, was arrested Jan. 14 at about 8:50 p.m. and charged with first offense DWI and third degree burglary. He allegedly crashed a 1996 Chevy into a tree while traveling northbound on Belle Terre Road. The burglary charge is from a Jan. 11 incident when he reportedly broke into the deli at 1630 Route 25 in Ridge and stole items.

Ronald Cinquemani, 32, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested Jan. 18 at about 10:15 p.m. and charged with two counts of petty larceny. He allegedly took a catalytic converter from a Jeep at Mather Hospital on Dec. 8 and then took another one from a jeep at Oakland Ave in Port Jefferson on Dec. 14.
