Crimes Nearby: Middle Island Woman Accused of Stony Brook Burglary

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County and New York State Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

The Suffolk County and New York State Police Department reported the following arrests:

Commack

William Leonello Jr., 18, of East Northport, was arrested on Sept. 27 by Suffolk police and charged with unlawful possession of noxious matter. On April 11, Leonello threw water bottles filled with noxious materials into a yard on Rye Place in Commack. No further details were released on what the noxious matter was by police other than it is illegal to possess. Police had been investigating the incident for several months, which led to the arrest.

Three Village 

A male resident of Caleb Brewster Road in Setauket called police Sept. 28 to report another man left him multiple harassing voicemails following a disagreement over football tickets.

A resident of Dyke Road in Setauket called police Sept. 26 to report finding swastikas drawn on a Mitt Romney lawn sign sometime between 6 p.m. on Sept. 25 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 27.

A female customer at 7-11 in Stony Brook called police Sept. 22 at 11:40 p.m. to report that a man who was hitting on her slapped her in the face after she rejected his advances.

Port Jefferson 

Tracy James, 38, of Middle Island, was arrested on Sept. 24 at Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson and charged with robbery, burglary, forgery and criminal possession of stolen property. Police accused her of a June robbery in Bayshore when she allegedly stole property from another person. James was also charged with burglary for allegedly taking property from a home on Stony Brook Road in Stony Brook on June 18 and criminal possession of stolen property from an incident at Gold Rush USA in Centereach on the same date. She was also charged with forgery and accused of altering a check that she then deposited into an ATM in Coram on Sept. 6. Court records show that James was indicted in Suffolk County Criminal Court on Sept. 28 and her next court date is set for Oct. 3.

Two men were arrested on Sept. 28 in Port Jefferson Station and charged with criminal possession of stolen property. Alexander Gentile, 26, of Lake Ronkonkoma, and Michael Wisnieski, 25, of Port Jefferson Station, allegedly had stolen gardening and construction tools stashed at an apartment on Greenhaven Drive and in a car.
