Crimes Nearby: Port Jeff Station Pair Charged with Shooting Man

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County police reported the following information:

Commack

Torrey Smith, 34, from East Northport was arrested in Commack on March 1 and charged with second-degree possession of marijuana.

Princena Degraffe, 27, of Central Islip, was arrested March 1 in Commack and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

Carla Donovan, 26, from East Northport was arrested in Commack on March 1 and charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, allegedly prescription pills.

Kathryn Lambert, 21, of Commack, was arrested March 2 and charged with  driving while intoxicated, disobeying a traffic control device, driving on the shoulder, and backing up on a controlled access highway. Lambert on the Southern State Parkway, according to police.

Matthew O'Reilly, 46, of St. James, was arrested March 5 in Commack and charged with DWI and traffic violations. According to police, on the Northern State Parkway and failed sobriety tests.

Smithtown

Henry Deboer, 49, of Stony Brook, was arrested in Smithtown on Feb. 28 at 10:10 p.m. on charges of first-offense DWI. Reports state Deboer failed to signal when making a left turn on Veterans Highway.

Carlos Almazanemery, 23, was arrested in Smithtown on Feb. 26 on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC level of .08 of 1 percent, first offense. Reports state Almazanemery was arrested at 3:20 a.m. on the corner of Brooksite Drive and Morgan Court while operating a 2001 Ford Taurus.

A 16-year-old St. James boy was arrested in St. James on March 1 on petit larceny charges. Reports state the boy was arrested on School Street in for stealing an iPhone.

Daniel Christie, 28, of St. James, was arrested in St. James on Feb. 26 at 11:54 p.m. on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC level of .08 of 1 percent, first offense. Reports state Christie Cooper Beach Road was driving a 2006 Nissan Sentra when he crashed into a parked vehicle.

Kamil Kosek, 25, of St. James, was arrested in St. James on Feb. 27 at 9:30 p.m. on charges of possession of a hypodermic instrument and unlawful possession of marijuana. Reports state Kosek was arrested on Lake Avenue for being in possession of two hypodermic needles and marijuana.

Three Village

Jonathan Hammel, 21, of Shoreham, was arrested Feb. 25 in Stony Brook and charged with first-offense DWI. According to police, Hammel drove off the road and crashed into a tree at approximately 5:44 a.m. on North Country Road and left the scene of the accident.

Alexandra Ferreira, 23, of Miller Place, was arrested Feb. 24 in Stony Brook and charged with first-offense DWI. Ferreira was traveling northbound on Nicolls Road when she allegedly failed to maintain her lane and was stopped by police at 12:35 a.m.

James Martinez, 36, of Coram, was arrested Feb. 28 in Stony Brook and charged with petty larceny. According to police, Martinez stole sockets and ratchets from Lowes Home Improvements in Stony Brook.

Alexandria Randall, 22, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was arrested Feb. 24 in Setauket and charged with petty larceny. According to police, Randall stole clothing and makeup from Walmart in Setauket.

Port Jefferson

Port Jefferson Station residents, Eduardo Nunez, 20, and Alex Fernandez, 19, were arrested and charged with shooting 21-year old Luis Vargas, of Selden, to death, police reported. On Monday police were called to 22 Judith Drive in Coram to find Vargas in the backyard suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Vargas was transported to Stony Brook Hospital but he died shortly after arriving.
