Crimes Nearby: Text Threats

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Suffolk County police reported the following arrests.

Port Jefferson

Suffolk Police are looking for information on two men who stole $1,500 worth of tattoo equipment from Brotherhood Tattoos on Middle Country Road in Coram.

The two men smashed the front door of the tattoo parlor and unlawfully entered the building on Jan. 9 at 2 a.m., according to Police. Once inside, they stole tattoo equipment valued at $1,500.

Riverhead

A Riverhead man was charged with criminal contempt in the first degree, a felony, on Feb. 5 after police said he pushed a person who was protected by an order of protection. Steven Marks, 58, was arrested in Riverside.

Smithtown

A 17-year-old Smithtown boy was arrested on Jan. 28 in Smithtown on a second-degree aggravated harassment charge, a misdemeanor. Reports state the boy texted threats to another man from his cellphone.

Westhampton-Hampton Bays

Seven area residents reported to cops over the weekend that someone stole their TD Bank debit card information and withdrew money from various ATM machines in New York City.

In Westhampton Beach, four Westhampton Beach residents made individual reports to Westhampton Beach police. The residents, who all use the Westhampton Beach TD Bank, claimed that various amounts of money were taken from their accounts, between $502 to $1,021.
Similar reports were made to Southampton Town police.
