Crimes Nearby: Three Swastikas Drawn in Kings Park High School

The following arrest information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Smithtown

Elizabeth Siegel-Sunderland, 25, of Smithtown, was arrested on June 26 on a charge of fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony. Police said Siegel-Sunderland stole tools from work trucks in Holtsville and Smithtown and sold them. The thefts, according to police took place on March 11, 12 and 16.

Commack

Police have found the man who they believe stole jewelry from Macy’s on Veteran’s Memorial Highway in Commack.

David Barrett, 32, of East Northport, was arrested June 28, three days after he allegedly took nine pairs of gold earrings from the store, and left. He was arrested in Huntington. Police did not elaborate on how he was found.

Kings Park 

Three swastikas have been drawn or etched at Kings Park High School in the past three months, according to police, who are asking the public for help in finding out how they got there.

Suffolk County police said the first swastika was drawn in pencil and discovered on April 17. Another, drawn in marker, was found on May 24 and the third was found on June 4 and was etched into a metal covering for an access panel.

Police said two of the swastikas were found in the men’s bathroom and another in the science lab.

Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. Police said all calls would be kept confidential. A cash reward of up to $5,000 is offered for information that leads to an arrest.

Three Village

• A 2002 Suzuki XL7 sport utility vehicle was reported stolen from the parking lot at The Curry Club in Setauket. According to a police report, the owner of the vehicle left it in the parking lot between 10:30 p.m. on June 20 and 3 p.m. on June 21. Police are still investigating the report.

• A customer who left her credit card at the Shell gas station on Route 25A in Setauket reported June 26 that someone had used it. Police did not disclose the dollar amount charged on the credit card. The card was left at the gas station at approximately midnight on June 17.

• A resident of Dairy Farm Road in Stony Brook reported June 26 that someone entered the house by taking an air conditioner out of a window and then coming in through that window. However, police said nothing was taken. The incident happened between 11:30 a.m. and 1:10 p.m.
