Criminal Mischief Reported at Storage Facility

The Suffolk County Police Department responded to the following Hauppauge incidents between Sept. 2 and Sept. 6.

• The owner of America Safe and Sound, a self-storage and truck rental facility on Prime Place in Hauppauge, reported Sept. 6 that someone cut a chain link fence around the building and broke the handle off a vehicle parked at the facility. The incident is thought to have occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Sept. 5 and 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 6.

• A resident of Serene Place in Hauppauge reported that someone stole her driver's license and credit/debit card from her wallet and used it to make two unauthorized purchases. The theft is thought to have occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Sept. 3 and 3 p.m. on Sept. 5.

• A resident of Davis Street in Hauppauge reported being threatened by a man in a drug-related dispute. According to a police report, on Sept. 2, the woman reported being pulled out of her car and pushed to the ground by the man at 12:30 p.m.
