Hauppauge's HSBC Bank Robbed

The HSBC bank on Motor Parkway in Hauppauge was robbed Wednesday afternoon, according to Suffolk Police. 

Police say a man entered the bank, located at 660 Motor Parkway, approached a teller, and produced a note demanding cash around 2 p.m.

The teller complied with the demand and gave the man cash from the drawer, police said. The robber fled on foot eastbound on Motor Parkway. 

The robber is described as Hispanic, 25-35 years-old, approximately 5-foot-1 to 5-foot-3 with a medium build. He was wearing a grey sweatshirt and a black and white striped baseball hat at the time of the robbery. 

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
