Fire safety took a fun turn on Saturday, when members of the Hauppauge Fire Department held an open house to share fire safety tips and show how the community's bravest do their jobs.

Demonstrations included a car extrication and a live fire and smokehouse, which should the dozens of visitors how house fires can flare up.
