7 Cars Smashed, Possibly Shot With Pellet Gun Monday

Police said no arrests have been made and no property was stolen from the vehicles.

Hauppauge citizens on Monday night reported seven cars with smashed windows, with at least one report claiming vandals shot the car with a pellet gun, according to police.

All of the incidents, logged on April 8, happened in the same general neighborhood.

In the first incident, police said an unknown person shot a 2005 Toyota with a pellet gun on Autumn Drive, damaging the vehicle.

While police said only one incident report mentioned a pellet gun, there were three other reports of cars with smashed windows on Autumn Drive.

There were more nearby. On the same night, police said they received two reports of damaged cars on Eagle Lane and one on Camelia Place.

Police said the 4th Precinct is investigating the incidents.

All of these roads are in the same general neighborhood, tucked between Route 347 to the north and the Hauppauge Industrial Park to the south.

No property was taken from the vehicles, police said.
