Police: Burglar Strikes in Broad Daylight

Suffolk County police report on a Nesconset home break-in that happened on Dec. 1.

Suffolk County police reported that a bold burglar struck a Nesconset house in bold daylight.

Suffolk County Fourth Precinct police said they received a call at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 1 reporting a burglary. A Nesconset homeowner said a robber had broken into his home on Gibbs Pond Road through the front door. The thief entered the home and stole assorted jewelery, according to police reports.

Police would not give an estimated value for the stolen jewelry.

Suffolk County police arrested a male suspect in relation to the robbery. No further details as to the suspect's identification or the charges are available at this time.
