Police Report: Business Schemes, Drunk Drivers

A roundup of police activity in Hauppauge from the Fourth Precinct from March 19 to March 26.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Arrests:

Raphael Padmore, 42, of Melville, was arrested March 26 at 12:25 a.m. in Hauppauge for criminal mischief. Police said Padmore took a metal pipe and struck a 2010 Honda Accord. He allegedly caused serious damage to the driver's side of the car, its hood and trunk.

Brandi Mills, 18, of Melville, was arrested March 26 in Hauppauge for driving while intoxicated. Police said Mills was driving a 1996 Nissan when she failed to stay in her lane while heading westbound on Nesconset Highway at 3:10 a.m.

Leron Scott, 36, of Bay Shore, was arrested in Hauppauge on March 26 for driving while intoxicated. Scott was driving a 2008 Mercedes when he failed to signal as he turned right, according to police reports. Scott then made a left turn without signaling. Police pulled Scott over on Route 111.

Patrick Deumacan, 29, of Brentwood, was arrested in Hauppauge on March 25 at 2:32 a.m. for driving while intoxicated. Police said Deumacan was in a 2002 Chevy pickup when he was spotted passed out at the wheel. His vehicle came to a stop on a grass median along Route 347, according to police reports.

Central Islip resident Michael John, 23, was arrested in Hauppauge at 1:42 a.m. on March 25 for driving while intoxicated. Police said John was driving a 1995 Pontiac when he failed to stop at a stop sign.

Michael Scott, 42, of Broad Channel, was arrested in Hauppauge March 24 for criminal usurious. Police said Scott took interest on a loan as part of a scheme for a business between Jan. 25 and Feb. 3.

Charlene Greene, 34, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Hauppauge March 24 for aggravated harassment. On May 2, 2009, Greene cut someone's left elbow with a kitchen knife. Police said on March 21 she was also seen harassing a person who was not identified in reports. Greene was arrested on charges related to both incidents.

Stefan Giokas, 29, of Smithtown, was arrested in Hauppauge on March 24 for criminal intent to damage property. Police said Giokas impersonated a Verizon Wireless representative to get a victim's phone calls forwarded to his phone.
