Police Report: Forged ID, Walmart Robbery

Suffolk County's Fourth Precinct reported the following arrests were made in Hauppauge and Nesconset from Aug. 16 to Aug. 22.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Romeo Galicia, 33, of Brentwood, was arrested in Hauppauge Aug. 22 at 7:55 a.m. on charges of unlicensed use of a motor vehicle. Police said they saw Galicia driving a 2007 Toyota southbound on Veterans Highway. After running his plates, police pulled over Galicia. Police later found out Galicia was also wanted on a bench warrant. 

David Flores, 31, of Brentwood was arrested in Hauppauge on Aug. 21 at 8:55 p.m. on charges of petty larceny. Police said Flores took miscellaneous items from the Islandia Walmart, located at 1850 Veterans Highway, without permission and without paying.

Kerrie Korpi, 22, of Melville, was arrested in Hauppauge Aug. 19 on charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said Korpi was seen in a 2011 Nissian with a marijuana cigarette in plain view on the driver's side floor. Korpi was arrested at 1:28 a.m.

Miguel Morales, 52, of Central Islip, was arrested in Hauppauge Aug. 16 on charges of forged instrument. Police said Morales was at Moreland Ave. and Mall Road when he was seen with a forged El Salvador photo ID. Police said it was Morales's intent to use this forged ID to hide his suspended New York State driver's license. Morales was arrested at 10 a.m.
