Police Report: Grand Larceny, Driving While Impaired

A list of recently reported crime activity from the Suffolk Police Public Information Office.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incident list for the Fourth Precinct. The following individuals are not convicted of a crime, but have been arrested on the charges. Defendants are considered innocent until convicted or proven guilty. These are the arrested and incidents from Nov. 25 –  Nov. 29.

Arrests:

Matthew Ryan, 24, of Ridge, was arrested in Hauppauge on Nov. 28 for operating a motor vehicle while impaired. Police said Ryan was driving a 2006 Nissan when he crashed into a parked, unoccupied vehicle. According to the reports, after Ryan allegedly hit the parked vehicle he fled the scene. Police arrested Ryan on Creek Road at 1:22 a.m.

Libert Eason, 49, of West Hempstead, was arrested on Nov. 26 in Islandia for petit larceny. Police said Eason went into a Rite Aid and took various hygiene products. Eason was arrested on Veterans Memorial Highway at 2:55 p.m., according to police reports.

Stephen Chapin, 32, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested Nov. 26 at 2:50 p.m. for criminal content. Police said Chapin got into a domestic dispute. Police would only state that Chapin got into a verbal argument on Fir Grove Road in Ronkonkoma. Chapin was arrested on Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge.

Marishia Allie, 20, of Central Islip, was arrested in Islandia on Nov. 26 for grand larceny in an amount over $1,000. Police said Allie stole an unknown amount of merchandise from TJ Maxx, located at 1820 Veterans Highway between Oct. 22 and Nov. 12.
