Police Report March 1 - 7: Prostitution, Heroin Arrests

Weekly police blotter of crime activity in Hauppauge from the Suffolk Police Public Information Office.

The following information is taken from the Suffolk County Police Department's Media Incident list for the Fourth Precinct. The following individuals are not convicted of a crime, but have been arrested on the charges. Defendants are considered innocent until convicted or proven guilty. These are the arrested and incidents from March 1 – March 7. 

Arrests:

Valerie Brewster, 46, of Wyandanch, was arrested March 5 at 10:25 a.m. in Hauppauge for robbery. Police said Brewster was shopping at Target in Commack on Feb. 14 when she placed several bottles of perfume in her bag.

Anthony Wall, 27, of North Amityville, was arrested March 5 in Hauppauge for aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle suspended. Wall was driving his motor vehicle at 11 p.m. when, according to police reports, he failed to yield to another vehicle. He was issued a summons. Police later determined he was driving without a license. 

Danielle Balzano, 32, of Port Jefferson Station, was arrested in Hauppauge March 5  for criminal possession of a controlled substance and prostitution. Police said Balzano offered sexual acts to another person in return for a fee. When she was arrested, the arresting officer found heroin in her possession.

Beth Keegan, 27, of Selden, was arrested in Hauppauge March 4 at 4:15 p.m. for criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said Keegan was arrested after they determined she possessed heroin. She also allegedly had hypodermic paraphernalia in her possession at the time of the arrest. 

Jenna Loiacono, 21, from Hauppauge, was arrested in Smithtown March 4. for driving while intoxicated. Police said Loiacono was driving eastbound when she was spotted talking on her cell phone. She also allegedly failed to signal right when turning. 

Leonard Saccheri, 48, from Riverhead, was arrested in Hauppauge March 2 at 8:57 a.m. for criminal mischief. Police said Saccheri was in the Fairhaven parking lot when he scratched a 2009 Toyota, damaging it. 

Julia Torres, 23, from Bayshore, was arrested in Hauppauge March 2 at 7:29 p.m. for aggravated harassment. Police said Torres had threatened someone while speaking on the telephone on Jan. 21 at 7:31 p.m. 

John Gaudio, 36, from Selden, was arrested in Hauppauge March 1 at 1:50 p.m. for property damage and leaving scene. Police said Gaudio was driving his 2000 Chevy boxtruck on Feb. 8 when he backed up and hit a T.D. Bank. After the crash, he allegedly fled the scene.
