Police Report: Petty Larceny, DWIs

Suffolk County's Fourth Precinct reported the following arrests made in Hauppauge, Nesconset, and Islandia from Sept. 4 to Sept. 10.

The following information was supplied by the Suffolk County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Amanda Hendrickson, 21, and Marisa Chayet, 21, of Nesconset, were arrested in Hauppauge Sept. 10 at 4:30 a.m. on charges of petty larceny. Police said between 3 a.m. and 4:28 a.m. both Hendrickson and Chayet were seen breaking into a 2010 Toyota parked at 15 Serene Place. Police said the women were seen taking a GPS, a car charger, a lottery ticket, and other misc items. Police said they could not determine how much damage was done to the vehicle or the value of the stolen goods.

[Name Removed], 31, of Nesconset, was arrested in Smithtown Sept. 8 on charges of disorderly conduct. Police said [Name Removed] walked into the 4th Precinct, located at 727 Veterans Highway, and approached the front desk in an irate manner. Police said [Name Removed] then began to threaten officers on duty and threw his car keys over the desk towards an officer. [Name Removed] was arrested at 10:45 a.m.

Taurean Russo, 24, of Nesconset, was arrested in Nesconset Sept. 5 at approximately 10:30 p.m. on charges of petty larceny. Police said Russo was walking on Browns Road Aug. 10 between 9 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. when he took money from a woman's pocketbook. The value of the stolen property was less than $100, according to police.

Joseph Hauter Jr., 32, of Ronkonkoma, was arrested in Nesconset Sept. 4 at 8:15 p.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated. Police said Hauter got into a motor vehicle accident at the Smithtown Boulevard and Southern Boulevard intersection. When cops arrived on the scene, Hauter was behind the wheel of his 2006 Chevy. After field sobriety testing, Hauter was arrested.

Rafael Ramirez, 51, of St. James, was arrested in Nesconset Sept. 4 at 11:10 p.m. on charges of driving while intoxicated. Police said they observed Ramirez in a 1994 Nissan drifting back and forth between lanes. An officer said Ramirez crossed the lanes over four times before he was pulled over and arrested.
