Police Seek Witnesses To Bicyclist Accident

Man found with serious injuries at intersection of Rabro Drive and Nicon Court on Wednesday.

Suffolk County Police's Fourth Precinct is looking for anyone who may have witnessed an accident involving a bicyclist in Hauppauge on Wednesday evening.

Police responded to multiple 911 calls at 5:20 p.m Wednesday reporting a bicyclist laying in the road at the intersection of Rabro Drive and Nicon Court. They found an 18-year-old man with serious physical injuries, according to police reports.

The man was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore and was later transferred to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. He is listed in critical but stable condition, according to police.

Police said they would not release the cyclist's identity, citing that the man is being considered a minor. An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

Fourth Squad detectives are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information to call at 631-854-8452 .
