Police: Hauppauge Woman Stole Puppy from Pet Store

According to Suffolk County Police, a pug was stolen from a pet store last month.

A Hauppauge woman was arrested on a felony grand larceny charge over the weekend after police said she stole a puppy from a pet store.

Police released security camera images last month after a pug was taken from its play area at Yippity Yap in Dix Hills. Security footage reportedly showed the dog being taken and hidden as it was removed from the store.

On Monday, Suffolk County Police identified 43-year-old Krista Kazan, of Rollingwood Court, as the woman who stole the puppy, which police said was valued at $1,800.
