Suffolk County police arrested a woman for allegedly driving drunk with her 9-year-old daugther in the car in Hauppauge's industrial park on Monday evening.
Islip Terrace resident Lisa Terruso, 41, was arrested and charged with a felony count of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child less than 16 years old and endangering the welfare of a child under Leandra's Law.
Police said Terruso was driving a 2003 Chrystler Seabring along Wireless Boulevard in Hauppauge at 5 p.m. on Monday when police officers conducting a separate investigation saw her driving erratically.
Police pulled Terruso over in front of office at 200 Wireless Boulevard. Officers said she appeared to be intoxicated. Terruso was arrested at the scene and her daughter was placed in custody of a family member.
Terruso is scheduled to be arraigned in Central Islip on Tuesday.
