County to Hold Job Fair, Career Seminars

Suffolk resources are available to help job-seekers find work.

If you're seeking new career opportunities, look no further than the comfort of your own community. The Hauppauge-based Suffolk County One-Stop Employment Center will be presenting a Job Fair at the Middle Country Public Library in Centereach on Friday, September 13. Residents can also take advantage of On-Site Recruitment on Monday, September 9 and a career quest seminar entitled "Franchising: Making the Right Choice" on Tuesday, September 10, both being held at the One-Stop Employment Center.

"We, indeed, are getting more job orders in lately," said Kathy Rivers, Director of Business Services, which is under the jurisdiction of the Suffolk County Department of Labor, Licensing and Consumer Affairs. "There is a demand for us to help them meet their hiring needs ... companies are getting the word out that they've gotten good people from these events."
