Curb and Sidewalk Repair Work Set to Begin Monday

Smithtown Highway Superintendent, Glenn Jorgensen said work will begin in Commack and is expected to take the entire summer.

The Town of Smithtown is set to begin repair work on storm damaged curbs and sidewalks on Monday.

According to an article in Newsday, Highway Superintendent Glenn Jorgensen said the work will start in Commack and he expects that it will take the entire simmer to complete repairs.

About $1 million has been set aside for sidewalk repairs and $1 million for curbs. The work will be completed by Jadeco Construction Corp. of Nesconset. To read the entire story in Newsday, click here (subscription required).
