Islandia Board Green-Lights Storage Warehouse

Project is expected to bring 30 jobs to the area.

The Islandia Board of Trustees green-lighted a site plan and land-use change at the site of a former truck repair garage to make way for an industrial and medical gas storage warehouse, according to a Newsday article.

The site for the New Hampshire-based Airgas East Inc. in the 28,000-square foot building will reportedly bring 30 jobs to the area, though officials couldn't say when or how much the project will cost.

According to the article, the company agreed to add security measures to the site, as flammable materials are expected to be stored on site.
