Navy Veteran Leads Islip GOP Ticket

Town Republicans nominate Thomas Croci for supervisor; set candidate slate for November elections.

With the November election less than seven months away, Islip Republicans have put forth a slate of candidates for town-wide offices that features Thomas Croci at the top of the ticket for the supervisor’s position.

Currently a lieutenant commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve, Croci is a Bohemia resident and is making his first run for elected office. He leads a GOP ticket that includes town council candidates Anthony Senft and John Cochrane, incumbent Town Clerk Regina Duffy and Receiver of Taxes candidate Alexis Weik.

Croci will face current supervisor, Democrat Phil Nolan, this November. In addition, current councilmen John Edwards and Gene Parrington, both Democrats, are also running for re-election this fall. It was not immediately known who the Democratic candidates are for town clerk and receiver of taxes.
