Question: How Closely Will You Follow the 2011 Elections?

Over the next two months, candidates will be hitting the campaign hard to spread their message. Will you be listening?

With primaries out of the way, it's open campaign season for the 2011 Elections.

In Tuesday's vote, incumbents Robert Creighton and Edward Wehrheim have for the Town of Smithtown council race. They will go up against Democratic challengers Howard Knispel and Teresa Haft.

This is one of the many political races that will play out through November. In the Town of Islip, Supervisor Phil Nolan will seek re-election and two council seats are up for grabs. Residents will also vote on who will serve as Suffolk County legislator.
