Smithtown Youth Bureau Gets New Leader

Kelly DeVito will replace Patsy Hirschhorn, who retired from the position last year.

A new leader has been appointed move the Smithtown Youth Bureau forward. 

Newsday reports Kelly DeVito, a community relations specialist for the town, was named the Smithtown Youth Bureau's executive director by a unanimous town board vote on Jan. 24. 

DeVito, of Selden, will replace Patsy Hirschhorn who retired last year. Her appointment is provisional based on her passing a civil service exam, but she does not know when the exam will next be offered. DeVito's annual salary is $78,890.
