Mailing A Letter Just Got More Expensive

U.S. Postal Service rates are set to change on Jan. 27.

Mailing a letter will cost you a penny more starting next week as the U.S. Postal Service rate changes go into effect.

Stamp prices will increase one cent, from 45 cents to 46 cents, to mail one-ounce letters, effective Jan. 27. The cost for letters weighing more than one ounce will remain the same - 20 cents for each additional ounce.

Postcard stamps will also see a one-cent increase, from 32 cents to 33 cents. Letters under one ounce mailed anywhere internationally will cost $1.10.

Those looking to save a bit could stock up on the Forever stamps (which cost 45 cents until the one-cent increase on Jan. 27). These are usable even after stamp prices increase.

You can pick up your Forever stamps at:

The Post Office is putting itself out of business. Can't they see that the price of stamps is driving people to pay their bills on line. They would be wiser to lower the price of stamps so more people would use them.

Kings park post office really needs to clean up it' s act. The sign in front of the building is falling down and garbage all over the parking lot . Proud ?
