Victims of Hauppauge Ponzi Scheme Awarded $4 Million
A judge awarded $4.1 million to eight victims of a Hauppauge-based Ponzi scheme, according to a Newsday report.

Officials said the $400 million scheme operated out of two Hauppauge-based companies run by Nicholas Cosmo: Agape World and Agape Merchant Advance. 

Obituary: Honey Hollow Teacher John DeCuzzi
Long-time Honey Hollow educator John DeCuzzi never stopped teaching, his daughter Ginny, said. The beloved teacher died April 10 at age 80. 

The retired Hauppauge teacher taught fourth grade at Honey Hollow Elementary School for 25 years, before the building was demolished and turned into The Lakes condominium in 1985.  

Superintendent Addresses Voter Manipulation Concerns
Hauppauge’s School Superintendent assured residents at a board of education meeting Tuesday that the district has not been using an illegal application on its voter software that is capable of influencing voter turnout in budget elections.
