2 Hauppauge Students Selected for National Choir Ensemble

Justin Albinder and Michael Lamendola will perform at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville.

Hauppauge High School choir students Justin Albinder and Michael Lamendola will head to Nashville, Tenn., in October to perform under some of the nation's most prominent conductors as part of the National Association for Music Education All-National honors ensembles.

The two students are among 350 school-age singers from around the country who will sing together after performing in competitions at the state level.

“It is a remarkable achievement for the students to be selected for this incredible honor," choral teacher Mark Kimes said in a statement.

Albinder performs as a tenor 1, while Lamendola performs as a base 2. Their performance is set for Oct. 30 at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville.
