5 Things Happening in Hauppauge Schools

As the school year picks up speed, there are several school-related events parents should know about.

The school year is rapidly picking up speed, as multiple events and activities are happening in Hauppauge Public Schools each day. Here are five things happening to help parents stay on top of the latest news:

1.  Hauppauge school district officials warned parents of a confirmed on Wednesday.

2. An International Baccalaureate presentation is being offered at 7:30 p.m in the James Baxter Board Room at the Hauppauge Administrative offices. It will be a panel presentation with a PowerPoint and a question-and-answer session.

3. If you can't make the IB presentation, the Board of Education will vote on the district's future with the IB program at their regular board meeting on Oct. 11, 8 p.m.

4.  Mark your calendars now for the fourth annual will be held on Oct. 15, starting at 10 a.m. Soccer games will be played by Hauppauge Youth Organization, the girls and boys varsity soccer teams.

5. Parents should prepare for a three-day weekend as schools will be closed Monday in recognition of Columbus Day.
