Aquatics Program, Smithtown Town Incentive on Board of Ed Agenda

The Hauppauge school Board of Education will hold its only November meeting on Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the former

To kick off the meeting, the Board of Education will hear a presentation from Rolling Thunder and the Adaptive Aquatics program. Piloted in the 2010-2011 school year, this program aims to provide an opportunity for challenged students to learn how to swim in a safe environment.

The Board of Education will set and vote on the Hauppauge Public School District's high priority objectives for the 2011-2012 school year. There is an opportunity for the public, district residents, to speak to board members before the vote if parents are concerned about particular issues.

Among their discussions, school trustees plan to talk about the Town of Smithtown's Industrial and Commercial incentive plan.
