Barrett began the organizational meeting’s nomination process by making a motion to elect Marie Goldstein as board president. Goldstein, along with then president and trustee Tom Locascio, voted in favor last month, of forwarding Barrett's petition for removal to the commissioner.

Locascio then made a motion to nominate Barrett as vice president.

Barrett, who is appealing her petition for removal, said after the meeting she was not sure when the commissioner would have a decision on her case and declined to comment further, referring questions to her lawyer. On her election as vice president, Barrett said “we just had conversation as a board and everyone decided together on the nomination,”

At the close of Tuesday’s meeting, Goldstein said she was looking forward to the new year.

“We, as a team, will work very hard to follow in the footsteps that have been left here for us.”

Also this is the only place I post. There's someone else here on patch using the name home town native, he/she seem to be agrivating a bunch of people in the boy scout thread. That's not me. I love that you said "this afternoon I was provided with your post".....you certainly sound full of yourself.

Lady, you are truly disturbed and paranoid! This guy "local" has nothing to do with me! I dont know him and until today while reading this, never heard of his screenname. I find it funny that you as a local business person who relies on Kings Park Business is so vitriolic concerning the opinions of others. I just showed my wife and father this thread and they were amazed, great way of alienating about half this town. That Catholic Church down on Chruch Street has the same canon/policies that I supported in the thread you guys are speaking of, are all those Catholics who believe the Boys Scouts shouldnt be forced to accept homosexuals, "discriminatory and hateful" too? I love your view "tolerance" - "My way or the highway!" LOL
