Dec. 13: Blood Drive, Stories and Holiday Preparations

This Monday has charitable and indoor events as holiday preparations continue.

This Monday kicks off the week with a mix of charitable events and quieter indoor events, offering a stark contrast to the Christmas rush that is picking up full speed around us.

1. Donate the gift of life at's  occurring at the school from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. No appointments are necessary, but for more information call 631-582–6633.

2.  It's winter time. That means  at Smithtown Public Library's main branch, 1 N. Country Road, Smithtown. From 2 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., children can listen to seasonal stories then get involved in decorating the fireplace with mittens.

3.  Have a younger child who is still exploring? Smithtown Public Library's Nesconset branch on Smithtown Boulevard hosts from 11 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
