The Smithtown Special Library District: Introduction to Computers: Parts 1 and 2 (Nesconset Branch)

The Nesconset Branch of the Smithtown Library invites you to a hands-on, slow-paced, user-friendly series for first-time computer users. You are expected to come to both classes.

In Part 1, you’ll learn about turning the computer on, the desktop, using the mouse, opening and closing programs, understanding Windows elements, getting out of trouble and turning the computer off.

Part 2 will cover basic word processing skills such as working with text, opening, saving and closing files and understanding commands.

Non-refundable $12 for the series is required at in-person registration, which begins March 1 for Smithtown Library cardholders and April 16 (space permitting) for all. Series is subject to cancellation if minimum attendance is not met. (ADULTS)
