Hauppauge Board of Education Changes Leadership
New president and vice president to lead the board in the 2011-2012 school year.
The Hauppauge school district's Board of Education will undergo a slight change in leadership next year.
At the board's annual organization meeting, trustee Geri Richter was elected to serve as president for the 2011-2012 school year. Richter has served as vice president for many years, and steps up taking over for Ann Macaluso.
Richter has served on Hauppauge school district's Board of Education for seven years. As a member of the board, she has served as chair of the District's Audit committee and worked on both the Board Policy Committee and Public Relations/Community Information Committee.

Eileen Mass was elected to serve as vice president of Hauppauge's Board of Education for the 2011-2012 school year. Mass served as the president of the PTA Council through the 2010-2011 school year.
