Hauppauge Celebrates Earth Day
Forest Brook Elementary students create bird feeders out of pine cones and seeds.
On Tuesday, first graders of Forest Brook celebrated Earth Day.
To show their respect for the planet, the students planted marigold and sunflower seeds, made bird feeders with pinecones, Crisco and bird seeds and made edible “dirt” for themselves, made from, Oreos, pudding and gummy worms.
