Hauppauge High School Ranked Among the Best in Nation

Newsweek ranks top 6 percent of high school in the United States for 2010.

Hauppauge High School made the ranks of Newsweek’s list of America’s Best High Schools for 2010.

The news magazine ranked just over 1,600 schools, or roughly the top six percent in the nation. l is ranked 367, making it the second highest ranked school in Suffolk County. 

The top ranked school in New York, 10th overall in the nation, is City Honors in Buffalo, while Jericho was the top on Long Island at No. 34 and Harborfields is tops in Suffolk at No. 285.

Other Suffolk County schools making the list are Babylon, Commack, East Hampton, Half Hollow Hills East and West, John Glenn, Mattituck, Miller Place, Mount Sinai, Northport, Pierson, Port Jefferson, Southampton, Ward Melville, Walt Whitman and Westhampton.
