Hauppauge Lacrosse Players Sign College Letters of Intent

Nine girls lacrosse players will be heading off to play in Division I or Division II NCAA sports.

Nine members of the Hauppauge varsity girls lacrosse team gathered Wednesday to sign letters of intent to play in college. It marks the first day of a week-long NCAA early signing period.

The Hauppauge varsity girls lacrosse program has nine players heading off to play NCAA Division I or Division II schools, the most of any girls lacrosse program on Long Island. The Lady Eagles won the Suffolk County Class B championship in 2010, the first in the program's 10-year history.

Senior Stephanie Peragallo signed on the dotted line to head off to play for the University of Notre Dame. Peragallo told MSG Varsity, who filmed the signing, "It was one thing to just verbally commit, seeing it on the papers makes it seem that much more real."
